THE BAND:
Darouge is a Jersey Shore based power trio consisting of guitarist/singer/songwriter Rick Darouge, drummer Timmy Moss and bassist Christopher Clark. The unit first assembled in November 2009 when Ricky invited Chris and Timmy to join his band while searching for accomplished musicians to play a selection of covers and originals in shore area clubs. After only three months together they suddenly found themselves performing in the local Rat Radio’s (WRAT 95.5) best unsigned band contest. The winners of the contest were promised three weeks of regular airplay and promotion. Darouge ended up winning under the last minute band name of Loose Cannon. They were pleasantly surprised since the contest was technically their first live gig together. Darouge’s single “Who You Are” ended up airing for five weeks in heavy rotation on the WRAT. The band went on to spend most of 2009 locked down in the studio recording new material for their forthcoming LP entitled “The Curse”. A release date of late July 2010 is planned.
 RICK DAROUGE:
Rick was born into a musical family and has been making music for nearly his entire life. He picked up the guitar at age eleven and almost immediately began writing his own songs. Ricky is known for his ability to write in a wide variety of musical genres. He produced and co-wrote the most downloaded song in Europe, 2002 for artist Spooks (according to swisschart.com). Some of the artists he’s produced have gone on to achieve multiple major label record deals. Rick’s songs have been featured in over a dozen films and video games. He has shared the stage with the likes of Bruce Springsteen and Bon Jovi at the ALL benefit concert at Count Basie Theater in Red Bank NJ. Rick has toured the country numerous times on the Vans Warped Tour with the likes of Jay-Z and 311. He has played on the same stage as Nas and the Beastie Boyz at the Summer Sonic Concert in Japan where his video was featured on MTV. Most recently he led a group of Shore area musicians under the temporary name of Loose Cannon to win the 2009 Jersey Rocks Radio Station contest for WRAT. The contest winners were promised at least three weeks of regular rotation. Darouge’s song “Who You Are”; a song about living up to what others expect you to be, ended up playing in heavy rotation for over 15 weeks. Some have called Darouge a genius. He simply calls it a having a knack for music.
TIMMY MOSS:
Tim has been playing drums since he was only eight years old. He’s played in numerous Jersey Shore rock bands including Rock Act, Links, Rhythm and Blues, Boccigalupe and The Bad Boys which toured the UK multiple times. He also has experience playing in So Cal rock band Billie’s Room and Seattle band Land Fill before returning home to the Jersey Shore. With Tim’s hard hitting style he wound up attracting the attention of Rick Darouge and is now a core member of the band.
 CHRISTOPHER CLARKE:
Chris has been playing guitar since the age of 14. He learned his skill from local guitar master Steve Califattia. Chris, being a member of the Darouge family has also been exposed to a musical environment since an early age. In recent years he began performing in local New Jersey shore area band named Chapter 11. He can currently be found playing bass guitar with his cousin in the band Darouge.
